We've attended two of the Americade events over the last few years and had a great time at both. Lake George is a beautiful little village that offers a great strip along the lake. There's some great resturaunts, bars and shops throughout the town. There's also the opportunity to take boat cruises out on the lake if you're interested.

 

During the 2006 trip, we took a dinner cruise on one of the larger boats. What a great time! There were only eight people on the boat as they hadn't originally planned to host a dinner cruise during Bike Week. All eight of us were bikers. There was Chris and I, a couple from Canada, and two couples from Pennsylvania. We pulled together a couple of tables in the main dining room and spent the entire evening enjoying drinks and one another's stories. 

 

We're very fortunate to have a friend who's mother-in-law owns a condo in the village. She has been kind enough to allow us to use her condo when we were in town. This has afforded us wonderful accomodations while there. We can't thank her enough for allowing us to use her place when we come up!

 

Though we had to miss the Americade in 2007 and will likely miss it again in '08 and '09 (graduations in each case), we hope to be back in '10. Maybe we'll see you there! In the mean time, check out our slideshow below to see a few pictures from our last visit!
